Afgelopen zaterdag is in Lelystad op de RDW baan de 1 uur race verreden. De 1 uur race was oorspronkelijk onderdeel van Cyclevision waaraan we jaarlijks meedoen.
Dit jaar is Cyclevision afgelast omdat FlevOnice dicht is maar de 1 uur op de RDW baan kon toch nog gereden worden.
1 hour race
Last Saturday the 1 hour race took place in Lelystad.
The 1 hour race is originally part of the Cyclevision. This year Cyclevision was cancelled, but this race stayed.
Door de goede weersomstandigheden en wat voorbereiding zijn er door ons nieuwe persoonlijke records gereden. Theo heeft snel wat foto’s van de resultaten lijst en het podium gemaakt. De resultaten zijn later gecorrigeerd, de baan is voor auto’s officieel 2,85 km lang, fietsers rijden meestal dichtbij de binnenbocht dus voor hun 2,775 km meer realistisch.
Our company members participate every year. And this year we all improved our personal records. Theo has made a photo of the results just after the finish and the “podium” photo. The results were later changed as the track length is for cyclist a bit shorter (2.755 km) than the official length for cars (2.85 km).

Theo is wel een beetje een “wegpiraat” zo dicht langs andere deelnemers te flitsen met zo’n snelheid. Als ze iemand terecht 2,775 km baanlengte hebben aangerekend, is hij het wel :-)))

Peter Pas is not at his best but the main reason is that the steering and the rear wheel mount of his bike need attention, the bike is not stable at high speed at the moment.
